Jastrabia veža

Jastrabia veža 2137m.n.m., s the most prominent feature of the valley. Its original name was the Kráľovský nos, or even the Karbunkulová veža, according to treasure seekers and on its unreachable top there is the gem Karbunkul, to which several legends are attached. The first known ascent was made by Lajoš Petrik with mountain guides Štefan and Matej Faith in July 28th 1891. They were probably not the first on the peak, as the young count Štefan Tôkôly from Kežmarok, whose death remained as unexplained same as J.A. Papyrus´, who died in this locality in 1771. Maybe Maciej Sieczka stood there in 1880, but it was not officially recorded.
